Donkey Ate Application Forms in Office of Vital Statistics in Bolívar

The residents of the town of Pampanillo in the district of San Fernando (southern Bolívar state, Caribbean) remain flabbergasted over a donkey that decided to satisfy his hunger with nothing less than several national ID card applications.
The event, which took place last Saturday, but only made public a few hours ago, allegedly transpired after an employee left their workstation for a few minutes, just enough time for the donkey to grab some applications with his jaw (question: what else do donkeys grab things with?) and make a break for it.
The town mayor, Felipe Turizo Lobo confirmed the reports and said that fortunately the ID card application process was not interrupted because the donkey only ate photocopies while leaving the originals.

El animal le 'metió el diente' a los formularios de inscripción de cédulas.
La población de Pampanillo, corregimiento de San Fernando (Sur de Bolívar), aún se encuentra asombrada y risueña con el caso que protagonizó un burro que sació su hambre, nada más y nada menos, que con varios de los documentos de inscripción de cédulas.El caso, que ocurrió el sábado anterior, pero que sólo trascendió hace pocas horas, ocurrió cuando el delegado de la Registraduría dejó su sitio de trabajo por unos minutos, tiempo que le bastó al animal para agarrar con sus mandíbulas algunos de los formularios.
Felipe Turizo Lobo, alcalde del pueblo, confirmó la noticia y dijo que afortunadamente el proceso de inscripción de cédulas no sufrió colapso en el corregimiento, porque el burro se comió las copias y dejó las originales.
